This remodeled (former) vacation rental is located in the prestigious Sandcliff community, an architecturally significant mid-century campus of 40 single-story garden condominiums in the highly sought-after south end of Palm Springs. The community is a tranquil setting perfect for those who appreciate mid-century architecture and a serene lifestyle.
Built in 1964 and extensively remodeled in 2015 to include all the amenities and conveniences of 21st century living, this gracious unit is the largest model in the complex, boasting nearly 1800 square feet of indoor living with an additional 750 square feet of outdoor patios enclosed by decorative screen block. Officially a condo, this single level home feels more like a private desert house as there is only one shared wall.
In addition to the main entertaining area, there is a TV room/den that functions as a third sleeping area. It’s appointed with additional comfortable seating a 50-inch television with YouTube TV via Roku as well as Blu-Ray, sound bar, a queen-size pull out sofa, a dresser, and a full-size closet.

The open-concept entertaining area features mid-century and mid-century-inspired decor. There’s a comfortable sofa and plenty of seating for conversation or an evening of games with friends and family. The dining table seats four comfortably, or up to six in a pinch along with three stools at the adjacent kitchen bar. The kitchen is open to the living room and dining area.
The thoughtful and comprehensive kitchen remodel retains a vintage flair, but incorporates new appliances including a wine fridge, dishwasher, french-door refrigerator, and conveniently placed wall oven and microwave. Great for entertaining, the kitchen is open to the living room and dining area which provides the perfect space for a mid-century cocktail party or a brunch buffet. COVID UPDATE: This is a fully functioning kitchen where you can avoid restaurants and take-out during this pandemic. Instacart grocery delivery works with all the major supermarkets.
The spacious master bedroom has a 40-inch TV with YouTube TV via Roku, king-size pillow-top bed, a large sitting area, an ensuite bath with private dressing area and a large closet. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, a walk-in closet, a 32-inch smart TV with YouTube TV via Roku, and easy access to the hallway bathroom. Both bedrooms have sliding glass doors opening to a large patio.

The guest bathroom and master bathroom each feature double vanities, skylights and plenty of storage as well as all of the amenities of home like hair dryers and make up mirrors. The master bath has both a tub and shower, while the guest bath has a step-down shower, an original feature of the home.
The in-unit washer and dryer are easily accessed from the hall.
A single reserved covered parking space is conveniently located right next to the main door. Plenty of additional unrestricted parking is available around the corner.

The campus features two large pools with adjoining loggias for shaded seating and lounging. You’ll also enjoy a variety of poolside lounges, chairs and tables where you may take in the beautiful mountain views and the park-like surroundings. One pool is always heated throughout the winter. The large hot tub is located at the south pool. The unit is located between both pools (less than a one minute walk to each).
Sandcliff is located only steps from a variety of shopping, dining, nightlife and outdoor recreation activities. Grab a cocktail at the Purple Room or plan a romantic meal at home with provisions from Jensen’s Finer Foods. Palm Springs’ picturesque hikes begin at the end of the street.
